                 Seguendo l’esempio di Chanel (Les Exclusifs), Giorgio Armani (Armani Privé) ed Hermes (Hermessences), la storica casa francese d’alta gioielleria e orologeria CARTIER, per celebrare il suo centenario, in autunno lancerà una nuova serie di profumi esclusivi d’alta gamma: “Les Heures du Parfum”. Nell’annunciare la notizia, la maison ha spiegato che l’ispirazione è venuta dal fatto che la memoria è sempre legata al tempo e che l’olfatto è intrinsecamente legato alla memoria. Va aggiunto che alcune tra le creazioni più celebri ed identificative di Cartier, sono gli orologi “Santos” e ”Pasha”, autentiche icone dal fascino intramontabile. Anche da qui, dunque, la scelta del tema di questi nuovi profumi de luxe.

L’intera collezione prevede tredici fragranze “da intenditori”, ciascuna contraddistinta da un nome e da un numero: le prime dodici come nelle ore della giornata, e un’altra in onore del tredici, numero fortunato, riferito a quello del primo indirizzo della maison Cartier in Rue de la Paix a Parigi.

Ogni numero (tra uno e dodici) sta a simboleggiare e a saldare ulteriormente il legame tra memoria e del tempo. Il profumo numero uno, per esempio, si chiama “L’Heure Promise” (o “The Promised Hour”), e rappresenta l’inizio di cose nuove, mentre il dodicesimo è chiamato “L’Heure Mysterieuse” (o “The Mysterious Hour”).

Inizialmente saranno lanciate solo le prime 5 fragranze, ciascuna nella versione eau de parfum o eau de toilette spray, in confezioni da 75 ml., al costo di circa $250, con distribuzione limitata a meno di 30 punti vendita in tutto il mondo. Le altre sette fragranze saranno lanciate ogni anno, due o più alla volta. Tutti i profumi sono sviluppati da Mathilde Laurent, responsabile area “Cartier fragranze su misura”
